Barrow near Drouwen, Drenthe
Bronze Age barrow which was originally part of a chain of barrows between the villages Borger and Drouwen in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It's dated between 1800 and 1500 BC. The barrows in this area were raised along an old North-South route over the so-called Hondsrug, a ridge of sand in Drenthe and the province of Groningen. Drouwen is a small town of 500 inhabitants. It is part of the municipality of Borger-Odoorn.
